The mechanic's creeper does come in handy on the RV project, just as it did when cleaning the bottom of my old Cessna 140. Here I am drilling the bottom cowl to the firewall:
Now it's ready to trim the sides and fit the side hinges:
Here the top and bottom cowling halves are drilled to the fuselage to cowl hinges and the cowling halves are drilled together where the screws/nutplates will go behind the spinner. Still need to install the horizontal top to bottom attach hinges:

You can see the clecos in the air inlet where the screws and nutplates will go. Unfortunately I didn't figure out until after I put the nutplates in that the aft-most hole results in too little clearance with the flywheel. So I had to do a little re-work to prevent any interference.
