A few more pictures of the cowling after being drilled to the firewall but before fitting of the side hinges:
With the top and bottom cowl pieces drilled to the fuselage, the spinner to cowl gap looks ok so far. Won't really know how this will work out until I get some flight time to see if the engine shifts and affects the gap:
It's starting to look more like an airplane with the cowling temporarily in place:
Here's a shot of the oil access door installed without the latches:
