More cloud pictures as we approached Rawlins, WY:

 

Here you can see the thinner cloud layers to the right as I turned south towards the clear areas to descend below the layer for the last 20 nm or so into Rawlins (turns out we could have stayed high the rest of the way in as the layer ended just west of Rawlins where skies were clear):

 

And here's a picture of I-80 leading towards Rawlins, WY from the west as we continued on below that cloud layer shown in the previous pictures:

 

We departed Rawlins just before sunrise to take as much advantage as we could of the calm, cooler morning air.  Justin of course didn't get the camera out until we started to encounter the first afternoon clouds forming later that day as temperatures heated up:
