I really don't remember exactly where we were when all these were taken but Justin really liked seeing the cloud formations as we progressed over the flatlands once east of the mountains into the Nebraska, South Dakota, Iowa, Minnesota areas.  We paralleled some state borders for part of these legs and it was great to be back over areas where there were tons of choices for airports and gas stops.  The cloud cover from afternoon buildups increased from scattered to broken and we climbed to stay above until getting to gas stop we made at Lincoln County airport near Sioux Falls, SD.  On leaving Lincoln County for last leg to Portage, WI, the tops had grown too tall for us to climb over without oxygen so we bounced along under the clouds for that fairly long leg.  Here are some of the "flatland" in-flight photos:
