Fuselage Photos (Pg1)

The RV-6A firewall has a lot of small parts making up the four corner assemblies that hold the steel brackets that the corner engine mount to fuselage bolts go through. Here's a picture of the full RV-6A firewall with all the parts drilled and cleco'd together:

Here's a close-up photo of one of the top corner engine mount to fuselage weldments:

And here's a close-up of one of the bottom main attach points, prior to trimming the bottom corner to rounded shape of fuselage bottom:

Here's a close-up of the attach point for the RV-6A firewall to engine mount at one of the two center attach points on either side of the centerline battery box area:

This photo shows the horizontal bracket for mounting the RV-6A brake line fittings that transition from the soft lines from the master cylinders to the soft aluminum lines that run inside the cockpit to where they pass out of the fuselage and down the gear legs to the brake calipers:

This is one of the upper, near centerline reinforcement points where the stiffner angles meet the upper horizontal brace:
