Fuselage Photos (Pg19)

RV-6A canopy frame partially assembled and pinned in place on the fuselage. Panel and sub-panel also installed, although temporarily at this point. The static line is visible on the left side of the fuselage where it is run from the tail cone area up along the main fuselage longeron. The tape under the canopy rail towards the back of the canopy frame is holding the spacers in place that set the spacing to trim the canopy side skin that will cover the side rails later:

Forward top skin cleco'd in place along with canopy frame partially assembled and pinned in place. You can see the pilot side seat and stick installed with the panel blank cleco'd in place - everything you need to sit the the garage and make airplane noises:

Dressed up for making airplane noises, making use of some of those gag gifts I got for so many years on every military move/transfer from my co-workers that thought I was nuts for building a plane and probably didn't really believe I would ever actually fly it. Horizontal stabilizer is hanging on the wall in the background, back in the garage it was built in although it moved to California and Indiana for a number of years before moving back to this Washington state garage:
